Aircraft hangars

Plan around the aircraft.

TNT / Guide 03

Who authorizes airfield access and aircraft movement?

Before pricing roof work, establish who controls the hangar, where aircraft can move, and when a crew can enter. Those details shape the work window as much as the roof area does.

What to bring.

  • A hangar plan, roof material if known, previous coatings, and leak history.
  • Airport access, escort and insurance requirements, plus any procurement instructions.
  • Permitted work hours, aircraft moves, and documented relocation costs.

Who to include

Identify the roof owner, hangar operator or tenant, and the airport or fixed-base operator responsible for access.

Work window

Set aircraft protection, wind and overspray limits, and foreign-object controls with the airfield operator before scheduling.
